Mr. Simic Stana, with the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Institute of Meteorology (BOKU-Met) in Vienna, currently operates 4 UV instruments in Austria. The instruments are calibrated frquently and participate in intercomparison exercises. All work is funded through the Austrian Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment, and Water Management. Application has recently been put in to become part of the NDSC. Currently, all data is submitted to the European UV Database (EUVDB). Please contact Simic Stana for more information.

Dr. Mario Blumthaler, of Innsbruck Medical University's Institute for Medical Physics, also maintains instruments in Austria. Currently 10 instruments operate forming the Austrian UV-monitoring network. All instruments undergo regular calibration and participate in intercomparison exercises. The Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment, and Water Management provides funding for the network. Please contact Dr. Blumenthaler for more information.
