Russia

Currently, there are two institutions operating UV instrumentation within Russia.

Dr. Natalia Chubarova, from Moscow State University's Meteorological Observatory, oversees four YES UVB-1's within Russia. These broadband instruments make up part of a local network, while two sites (Moscow and Zvenigorod) makeup remote sites. All instruments have undergone recent calibrations, while one instrument located in Moscow has participated in intercomparison exercises. Dr. Chubarova would like to thank the United States Department of Agriculture / U.S. Forest Service for partial funding and assistance with this program. Please contact Dr. Chubarova for more information.

Dr. Elena Nezval, also with the Meteorological Observatory, oversees two broadbands in Moscow.

S.A. Sokolenko, from the State Institute Voeikov Main Geophysical Observatory Research Center for Atmospheric Remote Sensing, maintains two instruments: one in Voeikovo, the other in Yakutsk. Please contact S.A. Sokolenko for more information.
